01 / The experience

Space is a place
you work in.

The game concept takes you from the launch deck to the cockpit to the vacuum outside. The demo is evolving; the current game panels show the available tools and controls.

01

Build the ship you want to fly.

Connect crew spaces, cockpits, cells, drives and landing gear in a modular workshop. Arrange your ship, check its mass and thrust, then finish the work with your construction tool. Revisit the workshop on the pad or in orbit.

Build · Repair · Dismantle

02

Feel the distance between up and orbit.

Take manual control or use flight assistance. Manage thrust, attitude and supplies while gravity, atmospheric forces and contact shape the flight. Open orbital instruments alongside your ship to see where your trajectory leads.

03

The spacecraft is a place, too.

Leave the pilot console and move through connected compartments. Operate hatches, watch cabin pressure and use an airlock before stepping into EVA. Powered hover boots help you move around the worksite and outside the ship.

04

Keep a history. Try another approach.

Manage launch sites and vessels through Future Earth. Use checkpoints and recovery history to revisit a flight or a construction decision. Explore solo, or enter shared play with other pilots.

02 / Your first flight

Start on the ground.
Learn by doing.

Begin with a local world. Keep a checkpoint before experimenting, and follow the current in-game controls as the demo develops.

  1. 01 / Get started

    Choose your world.

Confirm invite access, then choose your mode. Single player keeps your world on this device, with New and Continue choices.

  2. 02 / Get started

    Prepare a spacecraft.

Use the World panel to choose a destination and open a world. Create a ready vessel or an empty workshop, then select your vessel from the fleet.

  3. 03 / Get started

    Learn the controls.

Use the game’s Play panel for movement modes and flight instruments, and Build for construction. Follow the current in-game controls before attempting a flight.

  4. 04 / Get started

    Keep a checkpoint.

Save your single-player world before experimenting. Load restores that saved world. Earlier browser flight saves cannot be imported.

Single player and online worlds

Single player uses saves on this device. Online worlds are managed by their hosts. An invited account enables the demo. Signing in does not upload your local save or import earlier browser saves.

03 / On the horizon

A foothold on Earth.
A future in space.

The game begins with spacecraft, worksites and orbital flight. The longer-term ambition is a universe where the things you build give you reasons to travel.

These are future directions. The demo is still developing; priorities and availability can change.

  1. Refine the foundation

    More capable flight & machinery

Deeper spacecraft handling, landing gear, atmospheric flight and more useful equipment, with clearer guidance for new pilots.

  2. Expand the work

    Jobs, resources & orbital industry

Delivery objectives, inventory-backed construction, mining and resource processing, with more reasons to build together.

  3. Extend the journey

    New workplaces & destinations

Richer station operations, Moon missions and, further ahead, wider solar-system exploration.

Before you go

A few useful things.

What kind of game is this?

A first-person spaceflight and construction sandbox about building, operating and recovering spacecraft. The demo is developing. The 3D showcase lets you explore its spacecraft before entering the game.

When can I play?

The demo is available by invitation. Email updates are open to everyone.

What can I explore right now?

Rotate and zoom the Wayfarer V3 preview above, and use its buttons to operate the hatches and landing gear. The flight guide above explains how to begin.

Will earlier flight saves carry over?

The demo starts with a new save system. Earlier browser flight saves will not be imported. Keep any existing backups for your records; they are not required to use this introduction or receive updates.

Your next stop: the launch deck

There’s a ship
with your name on it.
